Poetry may be a cause of headache for some, but for others who appreciate the wondrous way words work, it is a luxury, a foray into the unfathomable depths of the human mind and emotions.
While it may not be the most action-packed activity, holding a food- and fun-filled poetry night is one way to create a shared experience among friends and gain a higher level of awareness as a person. If you’re thinking of how to go about organizing one since it is National Poetry Month, here are a few ideas to get you started:

Ask yourself what you would like to accomplish for your poetry night. Do you want to have a poetry reading? Do you want to analyze poems or focus on a particular poet? Maybe you prefer to watch movies inspired by poetry. Spice things up a bit by decorating your home with images of poets or your favorite poetic lines. A simple choice makes all the difference.
