Another day, another rainbow craft! This week we are colorfully working our way towards Friday, where I will be revealing how I decorated the Treetopia Colorburst Rainbow Wreath for St. Patrick’s Day. In the meantime, I am sharing a rainbow craft a day. On Monday, we talked about Unicorn Flair (complete with rainbow). Today, I’m talking about easy stitched storage.
I’m always looking for cute ways to organize all my craft and desk supplies. Sometimes, it is hard to beat cheap white storage baskets. However, nobody said they had to stay white. Why would they, when rainbow yarn exists in the world. These plastic storage bins with their large holes beg to be stitched.
There is no right or wrong way to stitch these baskets, just in and out. All you need is a large eyed needle (so that your yarn will fit). Get creative with your patterns. Think about cross-stitch or plastic canvas projects for inspiration. On the DIY Network, I shared several ideas for stitching storage, even weaving. Over on jenniferperkins.com I’ve got more details on these rainbow cuties.
Check back in tomorrow for more rainbow fun. Maybe there will even be a pot of gold. Ok, no there won’t, but I will be sharing another rainbow craft. Can’t wait until then? Wanna see the St. Patrick’s Day Tree I made rainbowrific with the help of the Treetopia Revolving Color Wheel?
