Breast cancer is the most common cancer that affects women, with about 1 in 8 American women developing invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, a campaign that seeks not only to raise funds to help find the cure but also promote steps for prevention. You don’t have to be a Hollywood A-lister or a Fortune 500 Company CEO to join the campaign—these brands have come up with creative ways to support this very important cause.

As a blogger, crafter, and interior designer, I know I can reach a large audience through my blog and my creative approach to decorating. With some unconventional home decor like this pink wreath courtesy of Treetopia.com, I can help keep the fight for a cure top of mind.”
Studies show 1 in 8 women will be affected by breast cancer in their lifetime so raising money for research is a worthy cause to share with my family and extended network. For the month of October, Treetopia will be donating 5% of all net proceeds on pink products to the American Cancer Society. Make a difference here.
Fras-Air Service Experts

Real men drive pink trucks! That is, if they work at Fras-Air Service Experts Heating, Air Conditioning and Plumbing (NJ) or Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning (NC). During October, both centers paint two white service vans bright pink and donate a portion of all sales for the vehicles to Susan G. Komen North Jersey and Komen Triangle To The Coast in Raleigh. (The Raleigh office will also donate $10 for every tune-up performed in October.)
Fras Air general manager David Schneider said the idea came from one of his technicians. Since both men had lost their mothers to a form of cancer, they wanted to help other families.
Fras Air launched the program in 2015, raising just over $7,000. Raleigh joined in the program this year. Their general manager Chris Overton adds, “According to the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, female breast cancer is the number one type of cancer in our state. Breast cancer is the second deadliest form of cancer, with lung cancer being the first.”
Hungry Howie’s Pizza

Hungry Howie’s has launched their eighth annual Love, Hope and Pizza campaign. To date, the company has raised over 1.5 million for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Throughout the month of October, the brand will be enacting a variety of different promotions including: serving pizza in pink boxes embellished with the National Breast Cancer Foundation logo and brownies decorated with a raspberry drizzle, selling pink bracelets and Love, Hope & Pizza t-shirts, and encouraging customers to share personal stories of strength via the #lovehopepizza hashtag.
The bulk of proceeds will go towards the National Breast Cancer Foundation to raise support and funds for the immensely important cause of breast cancer awareness.
Sparkling Ice

Sparkling Ice, the zero-calorie naturally flavored sparkling water, proudly displays a Pink Ribbon on the Pink Grapefruit bottle all year long.
Every bottle features the caption “a portion of the proceeds will be donated to fund breast cancer research” and this fall Sparkling Ice is donating $25,000 to the cause.
