TT: What are the little things that can make or break your design?
Twinkie: Attention to detail can really bring your project to life. I’m not sure that you are necessarily breaking your design by leaving out the small things, but I love that feeling when you’re looking at someone’s work or space and you discover something new every time you look.

TT: In what way do small decorating touches make an impact?
Twinkie: I find that smaller touches often make a space feel more personal, like you are discovering tiny, unique parts of someone’s life and what they love.

TT: Which tiny accent can’t this tree/wreath go without?
Twinkie: In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, you can’t forget little hearts! I’m a sucker for anything heart-shaped all year round!

TT: Small piece of decorating advice that can make a big difference?
Twinkie: Don’t be afraid to have fun!

TT: What small Valentine’s gift or gesture is most memorable to you?
Twinkie: My very first boyfriend baked me a cake on Valentine’s Day. It wasn’t pretty and I can’t remember if it even tasted good, but just the idea that a boy baked me a cake was kind of amazing!

TT: Extravagant gestures or small surprises?
Twinkie: Small surprises! Instead of feeling pressured to make a big impression on certain holidays, I really appreciate random, small reminders that someone is thinking of me.
