I love my Treetopia Tuxedo Black Christmas Tree so much, I decided not to take it down after Halloween but instead, decorate it for Christmas. This pre-lit black beauty looks just as festive decorated for Christmas as it did spooky for Halloween. Be sure to check it out on the DIY Network blog too!
Have you heard the rumors? Everyone is mad for plaid this fall, and I thought I would transfer the trend to my Christmas tree.
When you can’t find the perfect plaid ornaments at the store, make your own. All you need are some craft ornament blanks, glue, and trim and plaid fabric scraps. Pretty cute, right? I knew those scraps would come in handy.
Other fun elements, like birds’ nests, and pinecones and antlers, help give the black tree a more earthy, natural feel. Plus, they blend in great with the plaid theme. Don’t you feel like this tree should be in a log cabin somewhere?
All that is left to is coordinate the gifts underneath (with plaid gift wrap, of course). What do you think about using a black tree for Christmas?by
