The mantel in most homes is a focal point. In my house, you can see the fireplace from the front door. I like to make sure my mantel is done up right for the holidays, including Halloween, and this is where my Tuxedo Black Wreath and Garland come in.
Halloween is right around the corner, and preparing for parties, buying treats, and conjuring up costumes have us giddy with anticipation. However, creating our own unique Halloween décor gets us excited the most. In this edition of Treetopia Loves, we present 6 easy Halloween decorations to D-I-Y for.
Did you have as much fun as I did on the Treetopia Halloween Bloghop? So many amazing trees and decorations. I adore what My Paper Crane did with her Pitch Black Tree. Those painted pumpkins are ridiculously cute. Whipperberry showed us that a Whisper White Cashmere Tree can easily transition into a Halloween or Christmas tree. Then, of course, there is my baby—the candy corn tree. I love this tree and have used it for photo booths, in a round of musical chairs and of course, decorated with a swarm of bats.
Why should we have all the fun when it comes to dressing up for Halloween? This year, let your dog, cat, hedgehog, lizard, or any other pet you have join in on the festivities by dressing them up in spooky, dark, cute, or funny costumes! Here are a few ideas and tips to help get you started:
Go for Paper Mache
If you’re not sure what material you could use for a pet costume, give paper mache boxes a try. They’re easy to work with and cheap enough for you to try out ideas and experiment with costumes you may not have tried before. Best of all, it’s an extremely lightweight material—and weight is always something you have to consider when dressing your pet. Chelsea from Lovely Indeed came up with this amazing DIY on how to turn your dog into a walking cupcake for Halloween, and we think it’s brilliant and adorable.
