Vickie Howell’s yarntastic Valentine wreath.

Last, but far from least on this week’s blog hop is Vickie Howell. As the host of  Knitting Daily TV on PBS, the official spokesperson for Yarnspirations and the author of countless knitting books, it should come as no surprise that her wreath involves yarn. You might remember that Vickie, a fellow Austinite, attended a recent Valentine Wreath Making party with me. This is where she and I worked side by side to create our amazing Pretty in Pink wreaths. Stop by Vickie’s blog today to see all the kitschy, glittery yarntastic glory. Also, don’t forget to enter to win our contest. We are giving away 5 pink wreaths. What will you do with yours?

Everyday is a holiday with this wreath.

Everyday is a holiday with this pink wreath!

Jenny Heid and Aaron Nieradka of Everyday is a Holiday have a very distinct look with most everything they create. You can almost spot their designs at 50 paces with the telltale signs of baby pink, aqua blue, handpainted baked goods and a vintage coating on top of it all.  Their mixed media and art journaling work is some of my favorites and their blog, Instagram feed and book: Mixed Media Masterpieces With Jenny and Aaron are endlessly inspiring. This is why I thought they would be perfect for this blog hop. If anyone was going to do a Pretty in Pink wreath right, it was them. Pop over to their blog for the full wreath reveal and a chance to win your very own wreath. Perhaps you will decorate it with one of Jenny and Aaron’s delicious looking baked goods.

Out of the box Valentine wreath by Jennifer Perkins.

I have been dying to share the Valentine’s Day wreath I made. Recently, a few crafty girlfriends and I had a wreath making party that was TONS of fun. Everyone had a unique spin on the holiday and the only theme throughout were the colors red and pink. I had so much fun having this party with my friends in Austin, I wanted to do it again with my friends online!

As they say, everything but the kitchen sink. No sinks, but ladies’ razors and false teeth make an appearance.

Yummm I can almost smell the carnitas in the slow cooker and the tres leches cake in the oven. That can only mean one thing in my house, Christmas is almost here. Each year for Christmas my family makes a Tex Mex feast. It all started because of some Christmas plates I bought featuring Santa on a burro surrounded by piñatas. From there our Christmas tradition was born. This year with the help of Treetopia I took our theme a step further with a Feliz Navidid tree! Want to win a $100 Treetopia gift card toward your own tree in our White Tree Mystery Giveaway? Read on and I’ll tell you how.
