Holiday cheer shouldn’t be limited to the room where your main Christmas tree is placed. Spread Christmas spirit to every room of your home with these simple and fun decorating tips.

Bedroom

Choose a Christmas color scheme to use in your bedroom. You may opt to adopt the color theme you used on your Christmas tree, or choose an entirely different palette appropriate to the season.

Treetopia Fresh Berry Potted Pine

Make the entrance to your room warm and welcoming with a festive and colorful wreath. Decorate your walls or bulletin board with holiday photos, Christmas stick-on decals, or anything that are easy to hang and take down.

A miniature Christmas tree, such as the Treetopia Fresh Berry Potted Pine, adds a lively glow to your writing desk or night table with its collection of clear lights.

For your bed, place a winter quilt or bedspread that reflects your chosen colors along with a few Christmas-themed pillows. As a final touch, hang a sprig of mistletoe directly over your bed .

Kitchen

Add some Christmas spirit to the room where you create delicious and magical meals. A pair of these adorable Treetopia Snow Capped Mini Flocked Trees on the kitchen counter provides fun and cheery company as you prepare your next awe-inspiring holiday dish.

Treetopia Snow Capped Mini Flocked Trees

Put a dash of color on your tabletop with sprigs of greens and red winterberries in simple vases or jars. Christmas candles in decorative glass or tin holders also add a beautiful touch. Make sure to avoid scented candlesticks though, as they may overpower the appetizing aroma of your cooking.

A gingerbread house and a carafe filled with red and white candy canes are a sweet way to give your kitchen a hint of nostalgia and a pretty punch of color.

Bathroom

Decorating the bathroom for Christmas can be lots of fun. First off, switch your regular hand towels for ones with colorful Christmas designs. Tying red satin ribbons around stacks of towels makes for a quick and beautiful piece of holiday décor.

Next, hang simple ornaments from mirrors and windows but avoid wired or battery-operated décor as spills and splashes can occur in the bathroom. Displaying shiny ornaments in a decorative tray is also a chic, simple, safe way to spruce up your bath.

White candleholder with tealight

Finally, place scented candles in decorative glass or tin holders. The pleasant fragrance of apple, peppermint, or mulberry adds a great layer of comfort to this all-important room.

In all the holiday rush, we tend to focus all our decorating in the living room, dining room, or den. Get your entire home ready for the holidays by extending the joyful look of Christmas to other, often overlooked rooms.

This delightfully decorated Christmas tree comes to us courtesy of Jennifer Flores of Rambling Renovators.

The lovely and versatile Treetopia Basics – White Tree is the subject of Jennifer’s keen sense of design in her “My White Christmas Tree & A Treetopia Giveaway” blog article.

Jennifer has always wanted a white tree, so she chose this slim, snowy tree to brighten up the look of her basement. Intended as a “kids’ tree,” Jennifer loaded her tree with vibrant colors and craft decorations to make it look super fun and playful. Complementing the array of shimmering ball ornaments are hand-decorated glittery pine cones, pink plastic cups and teapots, and a gorgeous handmade paper chain. As a cute and clever touch, she used two of her daughter’s colorful tutus as a tree skirt.

Doctor Who

Have a wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey Christmas with “Doctor Who”-inspired holiday décor. Doctor Who’s police box  time machine, which he calls the TARDIS, looks fabulous as a tree topper on a white tree with navy blue trimmings.

If you prefer to use a traditional evergreen, hand-painted glass ornaments of the TARDIS and the Daleks (the Doctor’s foes) work just perfectly!

Treetopia is proud to share with you the graceful holiday designs of Laura Trevey from Bright Bold & Beautiful.

In her blog post, “Tis The Season To Be Jolly,” Laura relates to her readers how she created an elegantly classic holiday look in her home with Treetopia’s Balsam Spruce Christmas tree and a Biltmore Pine Wreath and Garland. With a scattering of red, yellow, and blue ornaments, Laura gave her tree a beautiful, back-to-basics look that proves that less is definitely more. By suspending the wreath over the mantel and draping the garland over the bookcases, she maintained the naturally light, bright, and cheery ambiance of her living room.
