Twinkie: Attention to detail can really bring your project to life. I’m not sure that you are necessarily breaking your design by leaving out the small things, but I love that feeling when you’re looking at someone’s work or space and you discover something new every time you look.

Cathie: It really is the little things. My girls are 2 & 3 and they love all the little seasonal decorating touches I do around the house. It creates a warm and inviting environment plus it shows that I care. My hubby loves it too…but he isn’t a fan of storing all my stuff.

TT: What are the little things that can make or break your design?
Jen: I like a full tree with several layers and textures. I almost always start with tinsel and build out from there. Next I go in with solid colored balls like the Color Glaze or All Hue Need. From there I will I add something custom or funky and then maybe something springy on top of that. Layers. It is all about the layers.
