Portland Pine for Design Council 2016

Today is the day—the kickoff to the 4th annual Treetopia Design Council and this year, we are knocking it out of the park. No, really. Some of my favorites on social media are playing along and I can’t wait to see what they have done with their tree. As Brand Ambassador for Treetopia, this is one of my favorite promotions of the entire year!

I have added a new tree to my Treetopia collection this year: the Portland Pine. There are many things I love about this tree, but one of the main things is that it comes pre-lit. Not only is it already lit, the lights can either be white, colored, or flashing alternating (my fave).

I’m not a traditional kinda gal, but there is always a special place in my heart for a natural green, realistic tree. Given I have added tons of color to said tree with the addition of the Color My World Tinsel LED Globe Lights and Chromatic Icefall Ornament Set. Green trees lend themselves so nicely to jewel toned ornaments and color, don’t you think?

Another one of my favorite secret tree decorating weapons is to always add shiny metallic ornaments to every tree for extra sparkle. The Metallic Medley Ornament Set was perfect for this tree. The shiny ornaments layered deep in the thick branches give the tree more depth.

Keep checking back daily as we have 10 bloggers participating this week, some of them giving away $150 worth of Treetopia bucks on their blogs! The theme this year for Design Council is all about the different shapes, sizes, and traditions Christmas can come in. My Christmas is full of sparkle, but there is always a hint of vintage and kitsch.
