Dia De Los Muertos Tree by Vanessa Brady

Day of the Dead tree decorating.

Today on the Treetopia Halloween Mystery Bloghop and Giveaway we are headed to El Paso, TX for a sneak peak into the traditions of Vanessa Brady of Tried and True. Vanessa gave her Treetopia Stiletto Black Christmas Tree an amazing Day of the Dead makeover. Dia de los Muertos is more than colorful skull decorations and face paint, it is a beautiful tradition honoring loved ones who have passed on. Vanessa made the gorgeous frames for her photos, whipped out some amazingly cute tassel ornaments, and even handmade tissue paper flowers for the tree. She topped it off with pompom trim, because everything is better with pompoms.

Don’t forget to check out Cathie Filian’s amazing take on Dia de los Muertos with her orange tree, Heidi Kenny of My Paper Crane had a painted-pumpkin-palooza for her Pitch-Black Pine Tree and over on my blog I shared my Candy Corn Tree. Tomorrow is the last stop (but not the last day to enter the contest) when we visit Heather Thoming of Whipperberry.
