With summer just around the corner, we scoured the internet for easy upcycled lighting projects to give you fun and stylish options for brightening up your backyard barbecues and outdoor parties. These tiki torch bottles add coastal charm to your summer celebrations, and they’re pretty easy to make! Just ask Eden Passante of Sugar and Charm who created these lovely tiki torches using empty bourbon bottles, tiki torch fluid, and custom torch wicks she found online. Coffee Can Lanterns

There are a lot of ways to upcycle empty coffee cans, but turning them into outdoor lanterns might be our favorite. Kate Pruitt of Design Sponge made these rustic coffee can lanterns using a variety of nails and screws, some clamps, and a ball-peen hammer. Easy Washi Tape Luminaries

For an impromptu barbecue or a last-minute outdoor dinner, nothing can be made easier or quicker than these tabletop luminaries. Using patterned washi tape of different colors and lengths, Kelly Oshiro of Santa Barbara Chic was able to add a fresh and lively appeal to plain glass votive holders.
