Fabulous and Life-changing Resolutions for 2013Posted by in The Treetopian Lifestyle
Make a significant change in your life with resolutions that work and are less difficult to maintain.
Every year, we list down and vow to make changes in our lives with resolutions that last somewhere between two weeks and one full quarter of the year. We’ve all been there and we all know how difficult it can sometimes get as more and more temptations and reasons to break our resolutions come along. Fortunately, Treetopia has listed a few, often-aimed-for life-changing resolutions and ways you can stay on track.
People automatically equate being fit to extreme dieting and rigorous exercising. Remember that our bodies respond differently to stimuli so what works for that ultra-thin celebrity does not necessarily mean that it will work you. If your goal is to be fit, you have to understand your body’s needs first and create a strategy tailor-made according to it. Come up with a reasonable fitness goal. The contestants of The Biggest Loser may have lost a lot of weight in the first few weeks, but keep in mind that they were also living in seclusion with nothing to do but diet and exercise with the help of experts. Create fitness plans to work around your other priorities and you will see your efforts pay off when your fabulous new self emerges at the end of this fitness roller coaster ride.
More often than not, one of our awesome but idealistic goals is to learn something new, whether it is a new language (Oui!) or a new skill (want to be the next Master Chef?), or to pursue your dream that’s been put on hold (today the shower, tomorrow Broadway!). Here’s a secret to reaching your goal: if you want it bad enough, just go for it. It’s never too late and you’re never too old to learn something new, especially something that would add to your already wonderful and charming personality. No one ever gets it right the first time, but with patience and enough passion, you will achieve your goals.
Be More Open to Change
We’re all living in a fast-paced world and, with that, comes constant change. You can resist all you want, but in the end, you’ll be the one left behind. Of course, being steadfast in your beliefs is not a bad thing, but agreeing to compromise can sometimes initiate progress on your part. Learn the power of “yes” and “no” now. You can discover more amazing things about you when you open yourself to new opportunities.
Be More Fabulous
You may be asking of this last item: What kind of resolution is “be more fabulous?” The answer is simple—acceptance. Since January is proclaimed Self-love Month, do exactly that: love and accept your remarkable self. Often, you are the last to see how fantastic you really are in spite of people who love you reminding you that you truly are one-of-a-kind. What will make you more fabulous is to recognize this remarkable person that is you and to acknowledge the many wonderful things that people you love declare about you.
It doesn’t take a lot to change your life and it definitely doesn’t need to be masked within a New Year’s Resolution. Discover ways to reach your full potential with the resolutions above, because doing so often leads to something better.
Share your resolutions and thoughts on how you transformed yourself into the fabulous person you are now.
